I created these picture frames for my daughter’s room and wanted something to match to hang between her frames on the wall.  I’ve seen a lot of really cute DIY wreaths on Pinterest and decided to create a pink one using some of the same materials I used on the frames. Since I created burlap and ribbon rosettes for the frames, I decided to use the same on the wreath.
I purchased a 10″ straw wreath at Hobby Lobby. I had a roll of 2.5″ hot pink burlap ribbon that I had purchased previously at Hobby Lobby, as well as a roll of 2.5″ white burlap ribbon, and 2.5″ light pink organza ribbon.
I made several rosettes out of the hot pink burlap, the white burlap, and the pink organza ribbon. If you don’t know how to make the burlap or fabric rosettes, you can see my instructions here.
I wrapped the hot pink burlap ribbon around the wreath, using my hot glue gun to glue it to the wreath in several places as I wrapped. Once the wreath was covered in the hot pink burlap, I used my hot glue gun to glue the rosettes onto the wreath. I then tied a piece of the pink organza ribbon onto the wreath and used that to hang it on a nail in the wall in between the picture frames. Here are some more pics:
I think I’m going to purchase a small fiberboard letter “J” (for my daughter’s first name) from Hobby Lobby, paint it white, and add it to the upper left side of the wreath so it fills out the wreath a little more and gives it some character!
