I wanted some cute, DIY picture frames that I could make for my daughter’s bedroom that would match the colors in her decor. I had some pink burlap and pink ribbon on hand and decided to put that to use. I also had some spare 1″ x 6″ boards left over from another frame I built. I knew the pictures I wanted to put in her bedroom were all 5×7 pictures, and I wanted each frame to hold 2 pictures. So, for each of the two frames, I cut three 1×6 boards to 11 inches in length, and then used my kreg jig to attach the three boards together (using 3/4″ pocket holes and 1.5″ pocket hold screws).
Once I had the two frames built, I used Rustoleum Heirloom White spray paint to paint the frames. It took about three coats for complete coverage. Once the frames had dried, I created several rosettes out of the pink burlap and light pink ribbon. Here is a link to my instructions for the fabric rosettes if you are unfamiliar with how to create them. I then used my glue gun to glue some strips of the pink burlap and some strips of the pink ribbon to the frames. I then used the glue gun to glue the rosettes onto the frames.
I attached two small bull clips, purchased from Amazon (link below), with the glue gun.
Once the glue had dried, I added a picture hanger to the back of each frame, hung on the wall in my daughter’s room and added my pictures and voila! Here are some more pics:
