These were another Shanty-2-Chic website find. You can find the plans for them here. These were SUPER easy to make and look fantastic! The mix of the dark walnut stained wood and the silver metal ribbon is very pretty. I have gotten a lot of compliments on these frames from guests at our house. For the wood, I used three 1″x6″ pine boards, each cut to 16 and 3/4″ (which is slightly different than the plans call for) and I attached the boards together with my Kreg jig, drilling two 3/4″ pocket holes into the boards and connecting with a 1.5″ pocket hole screw.
The ribbon was purchased at Hobby Lobby. Normally it is $6.99 for 3 yards, but they often have it for 50%, so look for a sale!). Here is the link to the metal ribbon on the Hobby Lobby website. I then used my Ryobi Airstrike nailer (you can also use a hammer and finish nails, but that would take MUCH longer), to attach the metal ribbon to the boards, making the same 45 degree cuts as shown in the plans. The Ryobi nailer can be found at Home Depot or on Amazon.
